Roger Mayer, the electrical engineer who developed the famous Octavia pedal that is responsible for the innovative guitar sound heard on Hendrix’s Purple Haze, joins Handel & Hendrix in London at The Cumberland Hotel for a unique Hendrix experience.

For the first hour, Mayer will talk about the Hendrix sound and his frequent visits to Hendrix’s flat in Brook Street, alongside musical demonstrations. For the final 30 mins, ticket holders will be shown around the Hendrix Suite at the iconic hotel where Jimi Hendrix often stayed and where he gave his last ever interview to the press, 6 days before he died.
