The history of gin in London

James Burrough founded Beefeater Gin in 1835, soon moving his operation to Cale Street in Chelsea, where there was a distillery until 1908. Desmond Payne, Beefeater’s Master Distiller, will demonstrate, with samples, and talk about the history of Beefeater, the recipes behind the famous London distillation and what gives different gins their flavour and making gin such a popular drink.

Desmond Payne has been the Master Distiller at Beefeater Gin since 1995.
