The Kindness of Strangers

After last year’s sell out event, the Kindness of Strangers is back with their stories that will make your heart grow!

Nine adventurers will regale you with stories, from their colourful worldly exploits, of being helped out by kind strangers. Interlaced with music from some of the greatest Oxjam Islington performers, this is an evening guaranteed to give you a tingle down your spine and a warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy.

Featuring Hassan Akkad, one of the central characters in the BBC documentary Exodus: Our Journey to Europe. Hassan fled Syria, after being imprisoned and tortured by the Assad regime.

Speakers Include: Ed Stafford, Sarah Outen MBE, AL Humphreys, Leon McCarron, Hassan Akkad, Steve Fabes, Dan Martin, Fearghal O’Nuallain, Mark Kalch

All proceeds go to Oxfam. By buying a ticket, you’ll be helping Oxfam in their goal to end poverty and towards their Syrian Crisis appeal to provide shelter, food and water to refugees. If you have any items you would like to donate, towards helping at the Calais Camps, please bring them along and the team will deliver directly to the camps.
