A unique opportunity to hear Prof Eric Olson from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, USA talk about the application of CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing to promote muscle repair in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). He will then talk about new cellular, genetic and biochemical tools established for optimising DMD gene correction. Finally, he reveals how CRISPR screening for genes required for muscle and heart growth and development has led to the uncovering of new genes with key roles in these processes.
