Figurative art is back! Young and bold artists from Africa or of African descent such as Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Njideka Akunyili Crosby, Wangechi Mutu, and Kehinde Wiley are shaking up the auction houses and galleries. Decorative colours and imagery, along with subtle political ideas are now popular among top collectors but also are attracting younger and more diverse buyers into the art world.

London Art Salon invites art historian and author Dr. Marie-Anne Mancio to take a look at the young figurative painters making the news. In time for the upcoming Lynette Yiadom-Boakye show at Tate Britain.

Evening event with a glass of wine.
